Samsung, Beijing Airway Communications to Launch WiBro in China

According to the Korea Times, Korea's Samsung Electronics and Chinese Internet service provider Beijing Airway Communications have signed an agreement on collaboration to launch WiBro services, a Korea-developed mobile WiMAX platform, in China. However, Samsung officials declined to provide further details of the deal or comment on whether Samsung is pursuing collaborations with other Chinese partners on WiBro.
